Decal instructions
Tools Needed:
•Plastic Applicator – Squeegee or something the shape of a credit/debit
card.
•Soap Solution with Spray Bottle – ONE drop of Dawn Soap per 32 Ounces of
Water in a spray bottle. You MUST use Dawn soap or the decal will not dry or
it will rip when you remove the top protective liner.
We will NOT replace or issue a refund if this
occurs.
NOTE: ONE Drop of Soap – failure to use one drop will cause the decal not to
dry. We will NOT replace the decal if this occurs.
•Masking Tape – Used for applying large size decals to hold decal in place
during installation.
Temperatures – do not apply decals where the temperatures exceed 80 degrees
in direct sunlight. For best installation, install in the shade between
65-75 degrees.
1.Clean hands thoroughly to prevent any dirt/oils from adhering to the
surface of the decal. Also clean the area where decal will be applied
thoroughly with the Water/Soap Solution and wipe dry with a lint-free cloth.
***Note*** Do Not allow the backing paper that is against the decal to get
wet!!! If backing paper gets wet, you will not be able to remove the graphic
image from it and it will be ruined. If this occurs we will not replace the
decal.
Unless you’re an expert detailer/installer Never install on a dry surface
without the soap solution.
2.With dry hands, peel the decal from the backing paper. Lightly spray one
half of the backside (shiny side) of decal with soap solution. This will
prevent it from clinging to itself and aid in its alignment on the emblem.
REMEMBER it is necessary to place the side of the decal that is against the
backing paper to the stock emblem (or area where decal will be applied)
where the decal will go over.
3.Place the shiny adhesive side of the decal against the application surface
and then position it by sliding and moving into the desired location. Using
a rubber-tipped squeegee, plastic driver's license or credit card (making
sure there are no rough edges), work from the center outward and squeegee
out "all" the excess air and moisture. Then, wipe dry with a lint-free
cloth.
4.To speed up the process of drying use a hair dryer or heat gun but be
careful NOT to over heat and ruin the decal. This is especially true for
areas of the decal that is not completely adhered to the surface.
5.After 30 minutes the decal should be dry against the Stock Ford/Chevy
Emblem, glass or smooth surface. Slowly peel from right to left the top
protective cloudy liner and remove it.
6. 2004+ F-150, 2005-2006 F250, F-350, 2006+ Rangers and any Ford emblem
with raised “Ford” Script lettering Owners if the decal does not stick you
may need to use a blow dryer to speed up the drying process. Heat up the
Factory Emblem and then heat up the back of the decal. This will speed up
the activation of the sticky material to help it cling to the convex emblem
surface. Squeegee the area to help it cling. You may have to repeat the
process if it fails to stick the first time. Once the protective liner is
removed clean area with a micro fiber towel carefully. Do not wash the area
of the vehicle for 72 hours including running the vehicle through a high
pressure car wash or brush system.
